The Santa Appeal

November 9, 2018

Add one more gift to your Christmas list this year.

The Santa Appeal is a campaign organised by Rhondda Cynon Taf County Council and takes place on an annual basis. The yearly tradition works by relying on the generous donations of the public. Contributions to the appeal are made in the form of gift bags and are distributed to children including those that are vulnerable and looked after, to make sure that no one misses out at Christmas.

The Students’ Union is once again participating in the appeal. If you would like to donate, then please contact Mel on mel.monks@southwales.ac.uk for the name and age of a child to buy for.

After we’ve given you the name and age of a child to buy for, you need to pop your presents into a gift bag and bring it along to the Students’ Union Info Desk (Atrium, Newport City or Treforest) by 26th November. From here, we’ll deliver your gifts to an RCT collection point so that all of the children receive their presents just in time for Christmas!

Last year, generous students and staff donated over 150 gifts to the appeal. Hopefully, you can help us make this years’ appeal even more successful.
