Smoking Near Buildings: Complaints

January 23, 2018

There have been complaints recently about smokers congregating by building entrances and smoke drifting into buildings.

Please be reminded that the Smoking On Campus Policy (which also applies to electronic cigarettes & vaporisers) states:

“Smoking is prohibited throughout University buildings and vehicles. This prohibition is also extended to building entrances and the immediate vicinity of buildings, particularly where there are adjacent windows.”

We’ve received specific complaints about smokers congregating near the entrance of Elaine Morgan building.

Please try to minimise impact on non-smokers. We’d like to make the University a better environment for everyone.
