Volunteers wanted to help at Newport Marathon

February 14, 2018

Run 4 Wales are looking for volunteers to help at the Newport Marathon and 10K on Sunday 29 April 2018.

The event, which starts and finishes just by Newport City Campus, will offer runners of all ages and abilities the opportunity to take part in one of the UK’s flattest marathon courses.

Volunteers are essential to make the event possible. Run 4 Wales are looking for individuals and groups of all sizes to get involved with bag drop, start/finish area roles and water station management. Everything you will need for your role is provided, all you need to do is bring lots of enthusiasm to help make the day great for the runners and spectators alike.

As an Extra Miler you will get up close to the action and get to mingle with the athletes. You will also be provided with kit to keep as a memento of the day.

If you would like to find out more, or volunteer to be an Extra Miler, visit the Newport Wales Marathon website or contact Marina at Run 4 Wales at volunteers@run4wales.org or 02921 660790.
