Eduroam Update

The security certificate used for authentication on the eduroam wireless service is due to expire on Friday 17th February 2017. IT Services will be updating the Certificate over night from Tuesday 13th / Wednesday14th.

Following this change users may need to re-verify their eduroam connection (profile) to accept the new security certificate.

On a Windows computer or device you may see a message as follows;

The certificate is called and has been issued by QuoVadis Root CA 2 As long as any information presented to you matches these, you can safely ‘connect’ or ‘accept’ to the eduroam service. Your experience will likely depend on the manufacturer and possibly the operating system (OS) of the device being used.
